Paladin render!

Here's a render of the paladin from the short I am currently working on. I rendered it out and was shocked at how good it looked! I am not really happy with the chain mail though, that still needs some work I think.

Here's an update on the paladin! Scroll down to see his older incarnation! Next is rigging, that should be pretty easy at this point. I've had a lot of practice fixing all the problems I ran into with the goblin.

Moving goblin!

Well, Gobby the Goblin is now animate! I've been working on facial features animation with blend shapes as well as tweaking all the other motion and cleaning up the rig. So here's a test animation!

The file is almost 3 megs and it's pretty short, but didn't want to spend a lot of time tweaking the compression settings to get it perfect, so sorry about that. Anyway, here is it!

I still need to finish the hand rigging, put some twine around his neck to hold the key, finish up the armor and strap rigging, and make sure his loincloth works correctly. Then it's on to the paladin!

Dungeon beginning!

Small update today! Here's what I have so far for my scene set-up. Still need a few more props--some more interesting dungeon features, columns, ceiling, so on. Also need a treasure chest to put behind the door. Starting on all that now. Also updates for the goblin are coming up!

Blendshapes and paladins!

Alrighty, so the goblin has been blend-shaped, so now he can make faces and such!

And here's the beginnings of a paladin. The armor texture is in need of more work, and I haven't even started on the hammer yet, but I'm pretty pleased with how it's coming so far.

Yet another goblin!

I promise this will be the last goblin for a while. This guy has been created with a purpose though, so don't worry! He's all modeled, almost fully textured, and soon I'll rig him up for animation. Then we can get to the really fun stuff!

Textures are not as nice as I'd like, but I learned a lot. Just have to move on to other stuff now.
